Adina Rich

In her more than twenty years in education, Adina has worked in and with a wide variety of schools. Her college experience includes a B.A. in English and Education, a Masters in Educational Leadership, Reading and Bilingual/ESL and a second Masters in Counseling and Psychology. Adina also holds certification as a Life, Family, and Divorce Coach. She has worked with students from Pre-School through College as well as with adult learners. A fluent Spanish speaker, Adina is a recognized expert with extensive experience in cross cultural education, low verbal, executive function, and high function Autism evaluations. She has also worked as a counselor and assessment specialist with private mental health agencies. She is a respected member of the International Coach Federation and holds certification as an Advanced Credentialed Autism Specialist.

Adina spent many years as a bilingual general and special education teacher working in Texas public schools. She was a professional development trainer, mentor, master teacher, counselor and At-Risk Coordinator. In those roles, she led guidance classes, facilitated small group sessions for children in a variety of situations and settings, and worked with students with behavior and emotional problems. All of these experiences led her to become a diagnostician. As a diagnostician, she is endorsed by the state of Texas, has passed a rigorous state registry exam, and obtained national certification in the area of Educational Diagnostics. She has served as a Pre-school evaluator, Autism team evaluator, evaluator for a school for gifted learners, and district bilingual evaluator.

Her experience with adult learners includes serving as an ESL and GED teacher as well as adjunct professor at Collin College and Tarrant County College, and Education professor at Texas Wesleyan University. Adina is a sought after parent trainer and often is called upon to speak to both parent and educator groups. She previously served as a behavior consultant and resource to several private, charter, and pre-schools. Adina is a proud member of the elite Texas Trainer Registry. She offers CEUs and she enthusiastically conducts pre-school and child care trainings all over the state.

Adina serves as a life coach, school and parent resource, teaches parenting classes, facilitates social groups for children, and promotes advocacy for parents with children with special needs.  She is also a State of Texas certified vision and hearing screener and as an iLs certified Practitioner who offers affordable home and clinic listening therapy programs.

Having completed extensive and specialized training in Conflict Resolution and IEP meeting facilitation, Adina is a passionate yet  diplomatic advocate for families with a true gift for getting schools, parents, and families to work together  in the best interest of  the children. Adina has been honored by the community for outstanding advocacy work. In 2013, the CCAEYC  recognized her as the Child Advocate of the Year. Adina provides advocacy throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

Adina is also a credentialed Mediator who is qualified to mediate in both private sector, divorce and family law, or court mandated situations. She is also available and frequently called on to provide forensic record review, evaluations, observations, and expert witness testimony for both family law and Special Education Due Process hearings.

Adina and her team also regularly conduct private evaluations for parents and Independent Education Evaluations (IEE)s at ARD committee and parent request. She is knowledgeable regarding transition and graduation plan requirements and college entrance requirements, testing, and allowable accommodations.

Adina is also familiar with various special education paperwork programs such as My IEP, Success ED, eSPED, CEAS, and Encore, as well as STAAR  testing, and allowable and recommended accommodations.

Adina is married and has three children. In her free time she enjoys traveling and reading. In 2003, she began Rich Educational Consulting.
